This collection of watercolours were inspired by my visits to Bowness On Windermere in the Lake District. I have spent many hours sitting quietly by the waters, painting with my watercolours. Visiting the Lakes is a very special escape from city life. It is a time to restore and reflect, away from the busyness of city life. The mountains that dominate the landscape, and the sheer vastness of the Lakes, evoke in me a desire, to capture the breathtaking beauty in paint. Watercolour is a medium that is easy to transport and fit into a bag. I enjoy plein-air painting, which allows me to capture the atmosphere and detail of the landscape that I am in.
